Born 1956 Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan. Still there.
1978-79 Editing a music paper "NOISY" dealing with Improvisation, Black Music, Punk and New Wave Music and more. 1980 formed a Rock Improvisation Band "NEGATIVE DISSOLUTE".Band existed till 1982. It functioned more as a music workshop rather than a live active band in the end. In 1981, "Improvisation workshop with Derek Bailey" was help twice in Nagoya city. Joined this project as a stuff and met many improvisors working in and around Nagoya. Since then, organize/produce/join improvisational live performances in Nagoya. Major live series including "me sa!ke kita mi?mi", "PULSSCHLAG", "PSYCHIC EXCHANGE", "Issei Furuta and KABENUKE-OTOKOTACHI".These lives produced by me and Saxophonist Yoshinori Yanagawa.Non-Idiomatic Improvisations with guests from everywher of sounds, visuals, performances.(with John Zorn, Ikue Mori, Tom Cora, Nachtluft, Christoph Gallio,...) Since 1983 started a cassette label "STEEPLE & GLOBE" <closed 1996>. In 1988 a critical music magazine "COS" has started. Since 1989 started Noise Improvisation Band called "DISLOCATION" with Y. Yanagawa, F. Kimura and K. KIYOKAWA. Since 1991 started Solo Project "SHIDA". Since 1998 started magazine & web called "noisecapture". This Location on 2000. In 2002 a post ambient project "moments slow" has started.
